Q420B, Q420C, Q420D and Q420E angle steel is a different grade of the same material Q420, its chemical composition and mechanical properties are basically the same, but there are some minor differences.
Q420B angle steel yield strength is ≥420MPa, tensile strength is ≥520MPa, impact toughness is ≥34J;
Q420C angle steel yield strength of ≥ 420MPa, tensile strength of ≥ 520MPa, impact toughness of ≥ 34J;
Q420D angle steel yield strength of ≥ 420MPa, tensile strength of ≥ 520MPa, impact toughness of ≥ 27J;
Q420E angle steel yield strength of ≥ 420MPa, tensile strength of ≥ 520MPa, impact toughness of ≥ 27J.
Therefore, the mechanical properties of Q420B and Q420C angles are slightly higher than Q420D and Q420E angles, but the impact toughness of Q420D and Q420E angles is slightly higher than that of Q420B and Q420C angles.
These angles have similar application areas and are mainly used for structural members and components in bridges, construction, machinery manufacturing, shipbuilding, automobile manufacturing and other fields.
