Following the delivery of P275NH, GNEE STEEL has achieved another success-a batch of P355N European Standard pressure vessel steel plates was smoothly shipped to Germany for a gas storage tank project of an energy company, further verifying the company's technical strength in the field of European Standard steel plates.

During the inquiry stage, the customer put forward special requirements: "The storage tank needs to withstand alternating loads for a long time, so the steel plates must have excellent fatigue performance and dimensional accuracy." In response to P355N (the upgraded model of P275NH, complying with EN 10028-3 standard, with a yield strength of ≥355MPa, a tensile strength of 490-630MPa, and delivered in normalized condition), GNEE formulated a special quality control plan: in the rolling process, the "multi-pass small reduction" process was adopted to reduce internal stress; ultrasonic testing was added to the finished product inspection (100% UT testing, complying with EN 10160 standard) to ensure no internal defects.
During the communication, the customer once raised questions about the flatness of the steel plates. GNEE's technical team immediately sent samples together with a third-party test report (flatness deviation ≤1mm/m) and provided suggestions on stress relief during storage tank welding. The final 220-ton order (specifications: 12-30mm × 2600-3200mm × 7000-11000mm) was delivered after passing German TÜV certification. The customer wrote in the acceptance report: "GNEE's P355N steel plates have stable quality and strict process control, making them worthy of long-term cooperation."

What is P355N material?
EN 10028-3: 2009 specification designs Flat products made of steels for pressure purposes. P355N material is weldable fine grain steels in normalized delivery condition.
What is P355 steel equivalent to?
P355GH pressure vessel steel is an equivalent to ASTM A516 Grade 70 and ASME SA516 Grade 70. Widely used throughout the petrochemical industry, P355GH is a pressure vessel steel grade as specified under the Euro Norm standard (EN10028) which has superseded British Standard and DIN standard equivalents.
What is the difference between P355N and p355nh?
P355 N and P355 Nh are both pressure vessel steels, but they differ in their intended applications based on temperature. P355 N is designed for room temperature service, while P355 Nh is specifically for elevated temperature applications, meaning it retains its strength and properties at higher temperatures.
What is the yield strength of P355NH?
275-460 N/mm²
P355NH is a normalised steel grade with a minimum yield strength of 275-460 N/mm² and plates are available ex–stock from our warehouse. (The combined quantities of Niobium, Titanium and Vanadium should be 0.12% max.)
