P420ML1 and P420ML2 are both thermomechanically rolled steel plates for pressure vessels and boilers, according to the EN 10028-5 standard. The key difference is their low-temperature impact toughness: P420ML1 is specified for impact testing at-40°C, while P420ML2 is specified for impact testing at-50°C. Both grades have a minimum yield strength of 420 MPa and good weldability.
