P500Q vs. P690Q steel plate

Dec 03, 2025 Leave a message

The main difference is that P500Q steel has a lower minimum yield strength (500 MPa) compared to P690Q (>690 MPa), which also results in a lower minimum tensile strength for P500Q. Both are quenched and tempered steel plates for pressure vessels, following the EN 10028-6 standard, but P690Q is a higher-strength grade.
