Wear Resistant Steel Plate AR400
AR400 wear resistant metal is specifically designed for wear and abrasion resistant applications. Typical hardness of AR400 ranges from 360-444 BHN, slightly below AR450. Wear-resistant steels are graded on the basis of hardness rather than grain structure. AR400 is widely used in applications where abrasion resistance is required and is the preferred choice for cladding, flooring, and equipment housings in the industrial sector. AR400 steel wear plate material is particularly suited to applications that are subject to frequent impact and sliding forces and is recommended for lining in mining operations, as well as for tipping and dumping operations.
