XAR 400 High Quality Wear Resistant Steel
XAR400 is a high-strength wear-resistant steel plate; has a fairly high mechanical strength; its mechanical properties are three to five times that of ordinary low-alloy steel plate; can significantly improve the wear resistance of machinery-related parts; therefore, improve the service life of machinery; reduce production costs. The surface hardness of this product usually reaches 360～450HB, which is used for processing and manufacturing of wear-resistant wear parts of mining and various engineering machinery and other applicable structural steel plates.

For XAR steels that have been quenched or quenched and tempered, since the maximum hardness of the steel is directly proportional to its carbon content, it is essential to maintain a certain carbon content in the steel in order to obtain the high hardness required. For example, for a steel with a nominal hardness of 400 HB, a carbon content of about 0.14% must be maintained, while the internal and external properties of the plate are balanced by the addition of Mo, Ni and B. It should also be noted that all XAR steels also contain less than 1.5% Cr. Various wear tests have shown that this is very effective in improving the wear resistance of the steel, especially against micro-acidic media.
