SA662GrA steel plate is a carbon-manganese-silicon steel plate for medium and low-temperature pressure vessels. It is a killed steel, featuring high-quality properties such as high strength, high toughness, fatigue resistance, impact resistance and wear resistance. It is mainly used to manufacture low-temperature welded pressure vessels operating at -40°C, including equipment and components like reactors, heat exchangers, separators, spherical tanks, oil and gas tanks, liquefied gas tanks, pressure vessels of nuclear reactors and boiler drums.

Carbon, Silicon, Manganese, Phosphorus, Sulfur are called "Five Elements". They are the main impurities in steel. Carbon improves steel hardness. Silicon strengthens the steel strength. - Normalizing treatment must be carried out when the thickness is >25 mm
- Strictly control the welding heat input
- Well conduct the low-temperature impact test for verification
