A299 GR.B Alloy Pressure Vessel Steel Plate
ASTM A299 Grade B boiler steel plate has a minimum yield strength of more than 325 Mpa and a tensile strength between 550-690 Mpa. Pressure vessel steel plate SA299 Grade B has higher values compared to pressure vessel steel plate A299 Grade A (yield strength more than 290 Mpa and tensile strength between 515-655 Mpa). SA299 Grade B boiler and pressure vessel steel plate must be ultrasonically tested when rolled in our steel mill.
A299 Grade B boiler quality steel plates 50 mm or less in thickness shall be supplied in the as-rolled condition unless normalizing or stress relieving is indicated by the end user at the time of purchase. For plates over 50 mm in thickness, the heat treatment must be normalized.
