2. According to different working conditions, boiler plates can be divided into two categories: steel plates for manufacturing room temperature and medium-temperature pressure-bearing parts and steel plates for manufacturing high-temperature pressure-bearing parts.

Boiler quality plates for room temperature and medium temperature (below creep temperature) are mostly made of carbon steel, including carbon steel, carbon manganese steel, carbon manganese silicon steel, etc., which are mainly used to manufacture boiler drums, header end covers below medium temperature and other pressure-bearing part.

1, the material in a certain temperature range (in the normal temperature and high temperature) with high yield strength properties;

2, the material has sufficient toughness, manufacturing or use of brittle damage will not occur;

3, the material has a small strain aging sensitivity, especially in the corresponding working temperature region, to ensure a certain value of aging impact work;

4, the material has a low notch sensitivity, can prevent the steel in the welding, open hole, local stress concentration region to produce cracks;

5, the material has good welding performance;

6, the material has a good microstructure, does not allow the presence of white spots and cracks.
