DX51D is a grade of cold-rolled steel that offers outstanding strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. With its exceptional properties, this material is highly sought after in various industries such as construction, automotive, and manufacturing.

One of the most significant advantages of DX51D cold-rolled steel is its high strength-to-weight ratio. As a result, it can provide excellent structural support while remaining relatively lightweight, making it an excellent choice for building roofs, walls, and frames.

The alloyed high-grade steel DX51D (machine folding quality) is deliverable with following hot-dip coatings: DX51D+Z (coating Zn), DX51D+ZF (coating Zn-Fe), DX51D+ZA (coating Zn-Al), DX51D+AZ (coating Al-Zn), DX51D+AS (coating Al-Si). The coating mass for Z amounts to 100, 140, 200, (225), 275, 350*, (450)* and (600)* g/m², for ZF to 100, 120 and (140)** g/m², for ZA to 95, 130, 185, 200, 255 and 300* g/m², for AZ to 100, 150 and 185 g/m², for AS it amounts to 60, 80, 100, (120) und (150) g/m². The parenthesis values are deliverable after arrangement the values are in each case both side minimum values (three-faced specimen). The * marked values are not deliverable for the surface types B and C and the ** marked values are not deliverable for the surface type C (see also DIN EN 10327). The advantages in opposite to the hot-dip galvanising are: - higher corrosion resistance - excellent forming behaviour - low crack susceptibility of the coating The material is used for construction parts with good cold formability and high corrosion resistance. The coated steel is weldable with the usual methods. Furthermore are given the adhesive suitability and the coatability with organic materials, in each case after a previous suitable surface treatment. Application: household appliances industry, construction industry, furniture industry, electrical engineering, automotive engineering.
