ASTM A203 Grade B material is a nickel alloy steel plate mainly used for welded pressure vessels in low temperature environments. As a matter of steelmaking practice, the steel should be killed and should comply with fine grain size requirements. Heat treatment requirements for all plates are proposed, and all plates below A203 grade B should be normalized as required.
