Corten Steel ASTM A242 Type 1 Plate
CortenA steel is a structural steel with high corrosion resistance. Its full name is ASTM A242 Type1 steel, also known as A588 Gr.A steel, and common weather steel.
In the composition of ASTM A242 Type1 steel, the main components are copper,, chromium and molybdenum. These elements form a dense oxide layer that prevents further oxidative corrosion of the steel.
