The chemical composition of Q690E steel plate mainly includes carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, copper, nickel, chromium, molybdenum and other elements. Among them, the contents of C, Si, Mn, P, S are ≤0.20%, ≤0.55%, ≤1.60%, ≤0.025%, ≤0.025%, while the contents of Cu, Ni, Cr, Mo are ≤0.30%, ≤0.30%, ≤0.80%, ≤0.20%. The joint effect of these elements makes Q690E steel plate has good comprehensive mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. The chemical composition and mechanical properties of Q690E steel plate are in accordance with Chinese GB/T 1591-2018 standard. The main chemical composition of this steel plate includes carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, copper, nickel, chromium, molybdenum and other elements. Among them, the contents of C, Si, Mn, P and S are 0.04%~0.20%, 0.20%~0.50%, 1.00%~1.60%, ≤0.025% and ≤0.025%, and the contents of Cu, Ni, Cr and Mo are ≤0.30%, ≤0.30%, ≤0.80% and ≤0.20%, respectively.
Q690E steel plate has excellent mechanical properties, with high yield strength and tensile strength, as well as good plasticity and toughness. In general, the yield strength of Q690E steel plate ranges from 270 to 345 MPa, the tensile strength ranges from 470 to 580 MPa, the elongation ≥ 21%, and the impact toughness ≥ 47 J/cm^2. These mechanical property parameters ensure the reliability of Q690E steel plate in various engineering applications.
Q690E steel plate has good corrosion resistance and can be used in many corrosive environments. Its corrosion resistance mainly depends on the chemical composition and surface treatment of the steel plate. As Q690E steel plate contains a certain amount of chromium, which helps to improve its corrosion resistance in oxidizing media. In addition, if higher corrosion resistance is required, surface treatment such as galvanization and chromium plating can be applied to the steel plate to enhance its corrosion resistance.
