Nickel Alloy 20 Round Bar
Alloy 20, also known as Carpenter 20, is a nickel-iron-chromium austenitic alloy developed for maximum resistance to corrosion by acids, especially sulfuric acid. The alloy has excellent resistance to total, pitting and crevice corrosion on chemicals containing chlorides and sulfuric, phosphoric and nitric acids. It also contains niobium, which is effective against sensitized and synthetic intergranular corrosion.Carpenter20 combines good corrosion resistance with mechanical properties and is relatively easy to fabricate. Although originally designed for use in sulfuric acid related industries, Carpenter 20 alloy is now used in a wide variety of industries, including the chemical, food, pharmaceutical and plastics industries. In addition, the alloy is used in heat exchangers, mixing tanks, metal cleaning and pickling equipment and piping.
