Alloy Incoloy 825 Steel
Nickel-iron-chromium alloys such as Alloy 825, also known as Incoloy 825 (Specialty Metals' line of nickel-iron-chromium alloys is known as Incoloy®), are designed to provide a more cost-effective solution for applications that require high temperatures and corrosion resistance - by lowering the nickel content (versus more exotic alloys).
Incoloy 825 round steel has a high level of corrosion resistance. It resists general corrosion, pitting, crevice corrosion, intergranular corrosion and stress corrosion cracking in reducing and oxidizing environments.
Incoloy 825 round bar has good mechanical properties from low to moderately high temperatures. However, exposure to temperatures above 1000°F results in microstructural changes that significantly reduce ductility and impact strength.Incoloy 825 should not be used at temperatures where creep fracture characteristics are a design factor.

What are the characteristics of Incoloy 825?
- Excellent resistance to reducing and oxidizing acids;
- Good resistance to stress corrosion cracking;
- Satisfactory resistance to localized attacks such as pitting and crevice corrosion;
- Very resistant to sulfuric and phosphoric acids;
- Good mechanical properties at room and elevated temperatures up to approximately 1000°F;
