1. Excellent wear resistance. The chemical composition of the alloy wear-resistant layer contains 4 to 5% carbon and 25 to 30% chromium. The volume fraction of Cr7C3 carbide in its metallographic structure reaches more than 50%, and the macro hardness is HRC56～62, the hardness of chromium carbide is HV1400～1800. Since carbides are distributed vertically in the direction of wear, even compared with cast alloys of the same composition and hardness, the wear resistance is more than doubled. The comparison of wear resistance with several typical materials is as follows: (1) with low carbon steel; 20~25:1 (2) with as-cast high chromium cast iron; 1.5~2.5:1
2. The substrate of the wear-resistant composite steel plate with good impact resistance is low carbon steel or low alloy. Tough materials such as stainless steel reflect the advantages of bimetals. The wear-resistant layer resists the wear of the abrasive medium, and the base plate bears the load of the medium, so it has good impact resistance. It can withstand the impact and wear of high-drop hoppers in material conveying systems.
3. The alloy wear-resistant layer with better heat resistance is recommended to be used under working conditions of ≤600℃. If vanadium, molybdenum and other alloys are added to the alloy wear-resistant layer, it can withstand high temperature wear of ≤800℃. The recommended operating temperatures are as follows: Ordinary carbon steel substrates are recommended for use at temperatures no higher than 380°C; low-alloy heat-resistant steel plates (15CrMo, 12Cr1MOV, etc.) are recommended for use at temperatures no higher than 540°C; heat-resistant stainless steel substrates are recommended for temperatures no higher than 540°C. Used under 800℃ working condition.
4. Good corrosion resistance The alloy layer of the wear-resistant composite steel plate contains a high percentage of metallic chromium, so it has certain anti-rust and corrosion resistance. It can be used in occasions such as coal drop barrels and funnels to prevent coal sticking.
