Q355ND is the implementation of GB/T1591 standard production of normalised rolled low alloy steel, Q355ND performance is good, and very wide range of applications, commonly used in large-scale machinery manufacturing, parts cutting, or applied to wind power equipment and so on.
The chemical composition of Q355ND steel plate mainly includes carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, copper, nickel, chromium, molybdenum and other elements. Among them, the content of C, Si, Mn, P, S are 0.18% to 0.22%, 0.15% to 0.55%, 1.20% to 1.60%, ≤ 0.030%, ≤ 0.030%, while the content of Cu, Ni, Cr, Mo are 0.30% to 0.50%, 0.20% to 0.50%, 0.80% to 1.10%, 0.10% to 0.30%. The joint action of these elements makes Q355ND steel plate has good comprehensive mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.
Q355ND steel plate has excellent mechanical properties, its yield strength and tensile strength is high, while having good plasticity and toughness. Generally speaking, the yield strength of Q355ND steel plate ranges from 270 to 345 MPa, the tensile strength ranges from 470 to 580 MPa, the elongation ≥ 21%, and the impact toughness ≥ 47 J/cm2.These mechanical property parameters ensure the reliability of Q355ND steel plate in various engineering applications.
Q355ND steel plate has good corrosion resistance and can be used in a variety of corrosive environments. Its corrosion resistance mainly depends on the chemical composition and surface treatment of the steel plate. Since Q355ND steel plate contains a certain amount of chromium, this helps to improve its corrosion resistance in oxidising media. In addition, if higher corrosion resistance is required, surface treatment such as galvanisation and chromium plating can be applied to the steel plate to enhance its corrosion resistance.
