Recently, GNEE STEEL received an urgent order from an Indian power enterprise – supplying A204 Grade B pressure vessel steel plates for its new power plant boiler project, with a requirement to complete production and delivery within 15 days to ensure the project is capped on schedule.

We contacted several steel mills, and only GNEE was willing to take this urgent order!" the customer's procurement manager said anxiously during the first communication. GNEE's technical team stepped in immediately. In view of the characteristics of A204 Grade B steel plates (complying with ASTM A204 standard, suitable for medium-temperature and high-pressure pressure vessels, with a yield strength of ≥290MPa, a tensile strength of 485-620MPa, and delivered in normalized condition), a special production plan was formulated: in the raw material link, low-carbon alloy steel slabs were prioritized for allocation; in the rolling process, precise temperature control technology was adopted to ensure uniform mechanical properties; meanwhile, third-party testing (including tensile, impact, and hardness tests) was advanced simultaneously.

 

 

 A204 Grade B pressure vessel steel plateDuring the production period, the customer checked the progress via video call every day. When they saw that the surface finish of the steel plates met the standards and the test reports were synchronized in real time, they specially sent an email to praise: "GNEE's response speed and quality control have exceeded expectations!" Finally, the first batch of 200 tons of A204 Grade B steel plates (specifications: 12-25mm × 2200-2800mm × 6000-10000mm) completed production 2 days ahead of schedule. After passing the inspection by the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS), the steel plates were smoothly transported to the project site via the Port of Mumbai, providing key material support for the manufacturing of the power plant boiler drum.

 

This urgent delivery not only verifies GNEE's rapid production capacity in the field of pressure vessel steel plates, but also lays a foundation for further deepening cooperation in the Indian power market in the future.
