SA302GrC steel plate is manganese-molybdenum and manganese-molybdenum-nickel alloy steel plate for pressure vessels belonging to American Standard, and there are 4 grades SA302GrA, SA302GrCB, SA302GrC, SA302GrD according to different tensile strength.
SA302GrC belongs to manganese-nickel-molybdenum alloy steel plate for pressure vessels, which is implemented in American Standard ASME.
SA302GrC delivery status:
The usual delivery state of SA302GrC is: normalized or normalized + tempered. SA302GrC can be delivered without heat treatment if there is an agreement in the inquiry and order, and it is recommended that the normalizing temperature of SA302GrC in heat treatment is: (890℃-950℃). And normalizing, when the entire cross-section to get the required temperature, there is no need to continue to hold and should usually be avoided.
Acceptance Criteria for SA302GrC: Acceptance tests shall take into account all heat treatments to which the part has been subjected during fabrication. If the Contractor does not require the provisions of M122, the acceptance test must comply with the requirements of this section. In this case, the delivery condition test is not necessary, but the test material shall be subjected to simulated stress relieving heat treatment in a separate laboratory furnace. The requirements of M151 shall be followed with regard to the heat treatment conditions. The specified values for sampling conditions, test methods and test results are the same as those for test material subjected to delivery heat treatment only.
