SA285GrC is a low to medium strength carbon steel plate for pressure vessels. It is a steel plate for boilers and is mainly used in the production of stationary boilers, hull boilers and other important boiler fittings.
The main difference between the three types of carbon steel, SA285A, SA285B and SA285C, lies in their yield and tensile strengths. 165 Mpa and 24 Ksi are the minimum yield strengths for SA285A pressure vessel steel plates, 185 Mpa and 27 Ksi for SA285B pressure vessel steel plates and SA285C pressure vessel steel plates have the highest yield strengths and should be used for the production of fixed boilers and other important boiler fittings. The yield strength of SA285 B grade pressure vessel steel plate is 185 Mpa and 27 Ksi, while the yield strength of SA285 C grade pressure vessel steel plate is the highest, which should be above 205 Mpa and 30 Ksi.
