Heat Treatment:
LR AH42 shipbuilding steel plate is delivered in the normalized, rolled, or controlled rolled condition. Heat treatment is not required for this type of steel plate.
Size Range:
LR AH42 shipbuilding steel plate is available in thicknesses ranging from 6mm to 150mm and widths up to 4020mm.
Impact Test:
LR AH42 shipbuilding steel plate is subjected to impact testing to ensure its ability to withstand sudden shock loads. The Charpy V-notch test is used to determine the impact toughness of the steel.
Main Applications:
LR AH42 shipbuilding steel plate is used primarily in shipbuilding and offshore structures. It is also used in the construction of other marine applications, such as floating production storage and offloading vessels (FPSOs), oil rigs, and marine equipment.
