Differences between S355J0WP steel and S355J2WP steel

Nov 24, 2025 Leave a message

Both S355J0WP steel and s355J2WP steel belongs to European standard atmospheric corrosion resistant steel, which has a protective rust layer to resist atmospheric corrosion. Adding a certain amount of alloying elements, such as P, Cu, Cr, Ni, Mo, to steel, in order to increase resistance to air corrosion, under the influence of climatic conditions, an automatic protective oxide is formed on the base metal. S355J0WP steel and S355J2WP steel plates and sheets can be used to manufacture low-alloy structural steel for steel structures such as vehicles, bridges, towers, and containers.
Below are the their comparison of chemical composition, mechanical properties and impact test strength.
