NM360 NM400 NM450 Wear Steel Plate


NM360 wear-resistant steel plate is a kind of wear-resistant steel plate with high strength, high hardness, high abrasion resistance, medium toughness, etc. It is mainly used to manufacture various important mechanical parts, such as gears, sprockets, propellers, transmission shafts, pistons, seals and so on.


NM400 abrasion resistant steel plate has quite high mechanical strength, and its mechanical properties are 3 times to 5 times that of ordinary low alloy steel plate, which can significantly improve the wear resistance of machinery-related parts, and therefore improve the service life of machinery and reduce production costs.


NM450 wear plate, NM means wear-resistant, 450 means the average Brinell hardness is around 450.NM450 is widely used in metallurgical industry, road building industry, sand mill cylinder, blade, U-type dump trucks, all kinds of cargo yard, dock machinery parts, bearing structural parts, railway wheel structural parts, rolls and so on.

NM450 resistant steel plate delivery status: steel plate is delivered in quenched, quenched + tempered (tempered), TMCP + tempered, tempered or hot rolled condition.

 

NM450 abrasion resistant plate smelting method: steel has converter or electric furnace smelting, and refining outside the furnace.

GNEE STEEL is currently participating in the procurement phase of a 100,000m³ full containment ammonia storage tank project, supplying high-quality steel plates for critical tank components. Due to the corrosive nature of ammonia and the risk of Ammonia Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC), the project requires strict metallurgical control of materials according to EN 10028-3 standards.

 

One of the most important technical requirements of this project is the strict limitation of the actual Yield Strength (Re) for all NL2 grade materials. To prevent SCC risks in ammonia storage environments, the actual yield strength must not exceed 390 MPa, regardless of the nominal values specified in the standard or plate thickness ranges. This requirement places higher demands on steelmaking process control, heat treatment stability, and material testing.
