C45 1045 Round Bar Stock

1045 round steel is a high strength of a medium carbon quality steel, due to poor hardenability, generally used in the normalised state, the mechanical properties require higher, the use of tempering. Cold deformation plasticity is medium, annealed and normalised cutting machinability is better than the tempered. 1045 steel round bar is used for the manufacture of parts with high strength requirements, such as gears, shafts, piston pins, etc., and the force is not very large machining parts, forgings, stamping parts and bolts, nuts, pipe joints. 1045 is the same grade as the C45 Chinese executive standard grade.
