3Cr2W8V 1.2581 Hot Rolled Round Bar
3Cr2W8V round steel is a commonly used die-casting mold steel. It has a lower carbon content to ensure the high toughness and good thermal conductivity of the steel. It also contains more chromium and tungsten elements that easily form carbides, so it has higher hardness and strength at high temperatures (at 650°C). The hardness is still around HB300) Because the phase transformation temperature of steel is relatively high, it has good thermal fatigue resistance against alternating hot and cold cycles. The hardenability is also good. The steel section thickness is within 100 mm and can be hardened, but its toughness and plasticity are poor.
1.2581 round bar (X30WCrV9-3) implements the standard DIN EN ISO 4957-2018 and has good thermal stability and wear resistance. After appropriate heat treatment, the hardness of 1.2581 steel round bar can reach a hardness of 58~62HRC.
