EN 10025 S235JR ASTM equivalent steel grades are ASTM A36, ASTM A283 Grade C/A283 Gr.C/ A283C. Of course, ASME SA36, ASME SA283 Grade C/SA283 Gr.C/ SA283C steel are equivalent to EN 10025 S235JR grade, too.
Both their chemical composition and mechanical properties are close to each other very much. At most time, all of them can meet the project requirements well. Many clients choose of them according to preference and the stock condition or production schedule of the steel mill.
