This grade, often called IS2062 E350, is a unique variety of high-tensile steel utilized in the mining, welding, and heavy construction industries. It has a UTS of 490 and a minimum YS of 350. High strength, potent anti-corrosion, anti-oxidation, and high resistance capabilities are some of the qualities of grade E350. The India standard 2062) has now increased the resistance capabilities of the IS 2062 E350 PLATES, such as resistance to various acids at high temperatures.

E250 & E350 Both structural grades share some similar features but could be differentiated by specific features:
• The E350 grade provides better tensile and yields strengths than the E250 grade.
• The E250 grade has a 0.23 percent carbon content, whereas the E350 grade seems to have a 0.20 percent carbon content.
• These grades have different types of sub-qualities like A, BR, BO, and C, indicating the impact test requirement and oxidation mode.

A: Impact test not required, semi-killed/killed.
BR: Impact test optional; if required at room temperature; semi-killed/killed.
BO: Impact test mandatory at 0 degree Celsius, semi-killed/killed.
C: Impact test mandatory at -20 degree Celsius.
