Q355D is a kind of low alloy high-strength structural steel plate, which is mainly used for manufacturing various engineering structures and mechanical equipment.
The chemical composition of Q355D steel plate mainly includes carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, chromium, copper, molybdenum and other elements. Among them, the contents of C, Si, Mn, P and S are 0.18% to 0.28%, 0.15% to 0.50%, 1.20% to 1.60%, ≤0.030% and ≤0.030%, and the contents of Cr, Cu and Mo are 0.20% to 0.30%, 0.20% to 0.50%, 0.15% to 0.30% respectively. The joint action of these elements makes Q355D steel plate has good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.
Q355D steel plate has excellent mechanical properties, with high yield strength and tensile strength, as well as good plasticity and toughness. In general, the yield strength of Q355D steel plate ranges from 270 to 380 MPa, the tensile strength ranges from 420 to 550 MPa, the elongation ≥ 21%, and the impact toughness ≥ 47 J/cm^2. These mechanical property parameters ensure the reliability of Q355D steel plate in various engineering applications.
Q355D steel plate has good corrosion resistance and can be used in a variety of corrosive environments. Its corrosion resistance mainly depends on the chemical composition and surface treatment of the steel plate. Since Q355D steel plate contains a certain amount of chromium, this helps to improve its corrosion resistance in oxidising media. In addition, if higher corrosion resistance is required, surface treatment such as galvanisation and chromium plating can be applied to the steel plate to enhance its corrosion resistance.
Q355D steel plate is widely used in various engineering structures, such as bridges, pressure vessels, storage tanks, pipelines and so on. Due to its high strength and good corrosion resistance, Q355D steel plate has become one of the important materials in petrochemical, energy and power, transport and other fields. In addition, it is also widely used in building structures, such as high-rise buildings, bridges, etc., to meet the requirements of high strength and corrosion resistance.
