Marine steel plates refer to hot-rolled steel plates produced in accordance with the requirements of classification society construction regulations and used to manufacture ship hull structures . Mainly used for manufacturing hulls, decks, etc. of ocean-going, coastal and inland waterway shipping ships. The working environment of ships is harsh. The hull shell has to withstand the chemical corrosion, electrochemical corrosion of seawater, and the corrosion of marine organisms and microorganisms. It also has to withstand the impact of large wind and waves and alternating loads. In addition, the ship's processing and molding are complex and other reasons. Therefore, There are strict requirements for steel used in hull structures. Good toughness is the most critical requirement. In addition, it must have high strength, good corrosion resistance, welding performance, processing and forming performance and surface quality. Its Mn/C ratio should be above 2.5, it also has strict requirements on carbon equivalent, and it should be produced by a steel factory approved by the ship inspection department. Steel for hull structure is divided into two types: general strength steel and high strength steel. The quality of general strength steel is divided into 4 grades A, B, D, and E; high strength steel is divided into two strength levels and 3 quality grades: AH32 , DH32, EH32, AH36, DH36, EH36.
