Similarities and differences between AH36/EH36 steel plates
Same point
1.AH36 and EH36 are steel plates with a thickness of no more than 150mm for manufacturing ocean-going, coastal and inland navigation ships, fishing boats and marine engineering structures.
2. The normal delivery status of AH36 and EH36 is hot rolling, controlled rolling, normalizing and thermo-mechanical rolling, shearing and flame cutting delivery.
3. According to different applications, some AH32 and AH36 also have Z-direction requirements, and Z25 and Z35 need to be added at the end. Ship plates containing the Z direction need to undergo ultrasonic flaw detection, and the flaw detection level needs to be specified in the contract.
difference
AH36, H represents high strength, 36 represents 360MPa, A represents the grade of steel, and E also represents the grade of steel plate, which can be divided into 4 grades (A, B, D, E). This meaning represents high-strength Class A marine steel with an allowable pressure of 360MPa.

AH36/EH36 steel plate surface quality requirements
1. The surface of AH36/EH36 steel plate should not have harmful defects such as bubbles, scars, cracks, folds, inclusions, and pressed iron oxide scales that would affect its use.
2. AH36/EH36 steel plates should not have visually visible layers. The surface of the steel plate is allowed to have thin layers of iron oxide scale and rust that do not hinder the inspection of surface defects, as well as inconspicuous roughness, reticulation, pitting, scratches and other local defects caused by pressing into the iron oxide scale and rollers, but their depth should not be Greater than half the tolerance of the steel plate thickness, and should ensure the minimum allowable thickness of the steel plate.
3. Surface defects of AH36/EH36 steel plates are allowed to be removed by grinding and other methods. The cleaned areas should be smooth and without edges. The cleaning depth should not be greater than the negative deviation of the steel plate thickness, and the minimum allowable thickness of the steel plate should be ensured.

AH36/EH36 steel plate production and cutting process:
Production process: primary refining → LF refining → VD treatment → continuous casting (die casting) → cleaning, heating → rolling → (stacking) → surface inspection → batch → flaw detection → heat treatment → cutting and sampling → performance inspection → warehousing.
Cutting process: After the AH36/EH36 steel plate is shipped out of the factory and all performance indicators meet the requirements, it is carried out according to the cutting process. It can be cut and processed and the drawings are blanked. Generally, when the thickness of the steel plate is not greater than 20mm, CNC plasma cutting or CNC laser cutting is preferred. If If the thickness of the steel plate is greater than 30mm, CNC flame cutting is usually selected, which can control the cutting accuracy and time.
