Effect of chemical elements on JIS G3125 SPA-H steel plate

The results show that copper is the most important factor affecting the weather resistance of JIS G3125 SPA-H weather resistant steel, while nickel has a smaller effect on it. Copper plays the role of active cathode in JIS G3125 SPA-H weathered steel plate.

The copper precipitated on the surface of copper-containing steel can promote the anode passivation of JIS G3125 SPA-H weathering corten steel, forming a dense and well-adhesive anti-rust protective layer, reducing the corrosion rate of the substrate in the external medium.

The addition of P helps to improve the corrosion resistance of JIS G3125 SPA-H weathering metal. Phosphorus is an anode depolarizer, which can promote the uniform dissolution and corrosion of the surface of JIS G3125 SPA-H weathering plate, increase the polarization resistance of the rust layer on the surface of the steel substrate, and slow down the speed at which the corrosive medium enters the substrate of JIS G3125 SPA-H weathering steel plate.
