08Ni3DR Requirements:
08Ni3DR is a steel plate used for pressure vessels. It must undergo ultrasonic testing in accordance with the national standard, Class 3 ultrasonic testing. Surface defects such as scabs, bubbles, and cracks are prohibited.
Cryogenic Vessel Steel Plate Introduction:
Vessel steel plates are divided into two categories: those for medium- and high-temperature pressure vessels, and those for medium- and low-temperature pressure vessels. 08Ni3DR steel plates fall into the cryogenic vessel category, as the final letters D and R in 08Ni3DR represent the capital letters of the initials of "low" and "temperature." For example, 09MnNiDR, 06Ni9DR, and 16MnDR all fall into the cryogenic pressure vessel category.
