Abrasion Resistant Steel NM 400 600 Plates
NM 400 is a wear-resistant steel with a nominal hardness of 400 HBW.Typical areas of application are wear-prone components and structures. It is mainly used at the discretion of the purchaser in wear-prone structures such as excavating, mining and earth moving machinery, truck bodies, conveying, crushing and shredding equipment, waste presses and paving moulds. Processing and application techniques are critical to the successful use of products made from this steel.
NM 600 is renowned for its ultra-high hardness and durability for extreme wear applications. Despite its high hardness, it can still be cut and welded, making it highly sought after for a variety of high-performance applications. It is important to note, however, that unlike lesser quality wear plates, NM 600 is customised specifically for wear applications.
