Cold Formed Steel Sheet Piling
Cold-formed steel sheet piles are made from thinner sheets, which are processed by cold-formed forming units. It is cheaper with lower production cost and more flexible in sizing control. However, due to the simple processing method, the thickness of each part of the pile body is the same, the cross-section size can not be optimized resulting in an increase in the amount of steel; the shape of the locking part is difficult to control, the joints are not strict, can not stop the water; by the cold bending processing equipment capacity constraints, can only be produced by the steel strength level of the low thickness of the product is thin; and the cold bending process produces a large amount of stress, the use of piles is prone to tear, the application of a greater limitation. In engineering construction, cold-formed steel sheet pile application scope is narrower, mostly just as the application of material supplement.
