42CrMo round bar stock steel is an ultra-high-strength mould steel, with high strength and toughness, hardenability is also good, no significant tempering brittleness, quenching deformation is small, tempering treatment has a high fatigue limit and resistance to multiple impacts, low-temperature impact toughness is good, high temperature creep strength and enduring strength. The steel is usually tempered and surface quenched as a heat treatment programme.
42CrMo solid round bar steel is mainly used to withstand high pressure, high temperature and low temperature environment of strong work, such as aerospace, marine, chemical, machinery and other fields. The material can be used to make large mechanical components and parts, such as shafts, gears, racks, links, blades, threaded bushings, etc., which are capable of withstanding high strength loads.
The material has high hardness, which can reach HRC40-52 hardness after heat treatment, with good hot workability, easy processing, weldability and good temperability.
