Q355 steel is a low-alloy high-strength structural steel(HSLA), which replace Q345. The implementation standard of Q355NE is GB/T1591-2018. Grade Q355NE is -40 degrees impact. "Q" means yield strength, 355 indicates the yield strength is 355MPa, N is normalized or normalized rolling, and E is the quality grade. There are five quality grades under Q355N like B, C, D, E, F.

Introduction to Delivery Conditions of Q355NE Steel Plate
Q355NE steel plate is typically delivered in normalized or normalized rolled condition. If the grade designation is Q355E, the plate is delivered in controlled-rolled condition; if the grade designation is Q355ME, the plate is delivered in TMCP (Thermo-Mechanical Control Process) condition.
Ultrasonic testing options for Q355NE plate thickness: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3.
Thickness direction properties available for Q355NE: Z15, Z25, Z35.
Ultrasonic testing grade ranking for Q355NE steel plate: Level 1 is higher than Level 2, which is higher than Level 3.
Thickness direction property grade ranking for Q355NE steel plate: Z35 is higher than Z25, which is higher than Z15.
Steelmaking Process of Q355NE Steel Plate
Q355NE is produced using electric arc furnace steelmaking, utilizing scrap iron to produce steel, resulting in high purity. The steel plate is formed by pouring molten steel, which is then cooled and pressed into flat sheets. These sheets are flat and rectangular, and can be directly rolled or sheared from wide steel strips. Steel plates are classified by thickness: thin steel plates < 8 mm (minimum 0.2 mm), medium-thick steel plates 8–60 mm, and extra-thick steel plates 60–120 mm.
Dimensions of Q355NE Steel Plate
Standard dimensions of Q355NE steel plate:
Thickness: 8–250 mm
Width: 1800–2600 mm
Length: 6000–15000 mm
Custom cutting according to drawings or small-batch futures rolling can be negotiated.
