SM490YA High Strength Steel Plate
SM490YA is a Japanese standard low alloy high strength plate, the implementation of JISG3106 standard.
SM490YA steel grade is a low carbon, high strength structural steel With this low carbon equivalent, it process good cold forming property.
SM490YA steel is Japanese standard hot-rolled welded structural steel, S stands for steel, M escape welding, 490 is the lower limit tensile strength 490MPa, A is the steel plate grade, and no impact is applied.
SM490YA steel grade is equivalent to the Chinese high weathering steel Q345GNH, but it is not the same, and its composition and properties are somewhat different. SM490YA steel plate executive standard: JISG 3106; SM490YA steel plate delivery status: hot rolled, normalized, quenched + tempered or tempered.
SM490YA high strength low alloy steel sheet has stable performance, excellent welding performance, can be used to manufacture containers and construction machinery. Such as mining and all kinds of engineering construction drilling rigs, excavators, loaders and so on.
With the minimum yield strength at 365 Mpa for the thickness equal or below 16mm,steel plate SM490YA owned the same steel strength as steel grade SM520B.The tensile strength for SM490YA is within 490-610Mpa which is lower than steel plate SM520B and SM520C.Xinsteel offer these hot rolled steel plates SM490YA completely according to steel standard JIS G3106.The thickness tolerance,heat treatment and steel marks on steel plate SM490YA shall conform to this standard requested.

SM490YA high strength low alloy steel sheet size, shape, weight and permissible deviation:The size, shape, weight and permissible deviation of the steel plate shall conform to JIS G 3192, JIS G 3193, JIS G 3194. In this case, the permissible deviation of the width of the steel plate and the cut edge steel strip shall be in accordance with the deviation of class A of JIS G 3193, if no special provisions are made.
Delivery state of SM490YA low alloy structural steel plates: for thickness <80mm, the delivery state is hot rolled; for thickness ≥80mm, the delivery state is normalized . Delivery state can also be specified according to technical requirements.
SM490YA high strength steel plate thickness direction performance requirements: Z15, Z25, Z35.
