22SiMn2 Low Alloy Steel Material


22SiMn2 steel plate is a kind of alloy structural steel plate, because of its high manganese content inside the steel plate, it has high strength and can withstand high impact. At the same time, because of its high strength, it has excellent wear resistance. It is widely used in the manufacture of fertiliser, petrochemical and thermal power plant equipment, such as ammonia reactor, coal gasifier, conversion furnace and hydrogenation reactor.

Properties of 22SiMn2 steel plate

 

Strength and toughness: 22SiMn2 high tensile steel plate can obtain high strength and toughness under appropriate heat treatment conditions. It has excellent mechanical properties and can provide good tensile strength, yield strength and impact toughness.

 

Welding performance: 22SiMn2 high strength alloy steel plate has good welding performance due to the suitable silicon and manganese elements in it. It can be joined and fabricated using conventional welding methods such as electric arc welding and gas shielded welding.

 

Hardenability: 22SiMn2 high strength low alloy steel plate can be quenched or normalised by heat treatment to obtain the required hardness and strength. It has a certain degree of hardenability and can form a good organisational structure during proper treatment.

 

Corrosion resistance: 22SiMn2 HSLA structural steel plate can improve its corrosion resistance after appropriate corrosion protection treatment. However, in general, the steel has a certain susceptibility to rust and requires appropriate surface treatment and protective measures.
