2, direct quenching of the steel plate tempering strength decline is relatively small, toughness improvement is obvious; reheat quenched steel plate for tempering, strength will be a substantial decline. Toughness and plasticity improve, the former has better tempering resistance.
3, direct quenching to get a high dislocation density lath martensitic organization, its martensitic lath fine bending and cross each other. Reheating quenched steel to get a lower dislocation density martensite organization, martensite slats thicker.
4, in the same tempering conditions, directly quenched steel plate precipitation of carbides small and diffuse distribution, and reheat quenched steel plate precipitation of carbides more coarse.
